Learn how to design and 3D print your own models and integrate 3D printing into your own classroom!

HARDWARE
In the first part of this course, you will unbox and set up your new 3D printer. You’ll learn how to operate, maintain, and repair the printer, and you will become familiar with all of the built-in features of the printer. In addition, you’ll also download and install the Bambu Studio software program and use it to prepare models for printing. Finally, you will download, prepare, and print models from online model repositories.
DESIGN
In the second part of this course, you will learn about and use free, web-based 3D modeling software platforms like Tinkercad and SculptGL. You will create a chess pawn, a two color badge, a repeating design, a complex shape, an alien head, buttons, bookmarks, rings, and more. You will also learn how to embed a Tinkercad design, upload a photo to Tinkercad, make your design public, and add a custom font.
CURRICULUM INTEGRATION
In the third part of this course, you will explore examples of how 3D printing has been integrated into the K-12 curriculum and develop your own strategy for incorporating the technology into your classroom.
